Jody was born and raised on the coast of North Carolina where he graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.A. in Communication Studies/Public Relations. He began his career at the YMCA, and excelled in the organization as he was promoted to various leadership positions.
Jody currently serves as CEO for the Southeastern Chapter – National Safety Council (SCNSC). SCNSC's mission is to promote change to eliminate preventable injuries, death and loss in the communities we serve. Jody provides strategic planning, leadership and outreach to expand the organization's presence in the Southeast and make our region safer. He also serves on National Safety Council leadership and research committees in order to identify, quantify, and ultimately prevent incidents and loss in workplaces, roadways and communities in the Southeast.
Southeastern Chapter – National Safety Council
The Southeastern Chapter – National Safety Council (SCNSC) is a nonprofit, membership organization based in Irmo, SC. The Council is dedicated to promoting change to eliminate preventable injuries, death and loss. SCNSC accomplishes this mission by providing training courses for safety on the road, at work and in the community through defensive driving, workplace safety and First Aid/CPR certification.
