Belinda is president of 2M Design Consultants, Inc. in Atlanta and was one of the first 100 people in the nation to receive the U.S. Green Building Council LEED™ accredited professional designation.  She has over 35 years of experience designing and managing construction projects for large corporations, federal and local governments; and is recognized in the industry for tackling projects with comprehensive work scopes and completing them on time and within budget. 


In 2003 Belinda was responsible for the design and construction oversight of Fulton County Government's first LEED certified building, the East Atlanta Library, which is the State of Georgia's first LEED Silver Public Library; and in 2010 for the U.S. Department of Defense's first LEED Gold residence, the Moody Air Force Base BRAC Dormitory Project.  2M currently directs LEED Silver Administration oversight on eight (8) new libraries and two (2) major renovations/additions for the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Capital Improvement Program valued at $165 million. 


Each of 2M's ten 10) Phase I library projects have achieved a LEED Silver or a LEED Gold Certification in accordance with the United States Green Building Council's (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, New Construction version 3.0 LEED Rating System, that completes the County's mandatory LEED Silver Certification requirement for Phase I and honors Fulton County Government's commitment to environmental stewardship.  2M champions and documents the creation of green jobs on our capital projects and provides green jobs training for industry, trade professionals and underserved residents.
